Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of national issues through his official Twitter account.

On January 22, 2026, Cline marked National Blood Donor Month by urging Americans to donate blood. He stated, “This #NationalBloodDonorMonth, we remember that someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion every 2 seconds, and that one donation can save up to 3 lives. I encourage all Americans who are able to volunteer and donate so that this life-saving resource remains available for https://t.co/xtjwydfQeS”.

The following day, on January 23, Cline commented on the value of human dignity and voiced support for anti-abortion advocates. In his post he wrote, “Our nation was founded on the belief that every person is born with inherent dignity and worth. To the many Americans standing up today for the lives of the unborn, thank you for raising your voices. May we continue building a culture that cherishes every child and lifts up https://t.co/XJcHbnJQcc”.

Later on January 23, Cline addressed energy independence in relation to natural resources: “America should NEVER rely on our adversaries for natural resources. In a major step toward independence, the United States has opened its first graphite mine in nearly 70 years. We will no longer rely on Communist China under the America First agenda. https://t.co/uQAImtHKbF”.

Ben Cline has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously held office in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and the University of Richmond (JD).
