Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from border security to energy policy and government funding.

On September 24, 2025, Cline commented on immigration enforcement under the current administration: “The border crisis didn’t happen by accident—it was a deliberate choice. Commonsense leadership is back. Under Border Czar Kamala Harris, our border was wide open.

Today, over 2 million illegal immigrants have been removed because we have an administration that is actually https://t.co/lcH4wXAjwJ“.

The following day, September 25, he addressed concerns about the nation’s energy infrastructure: “Americans shouldn’t have to pay for two grids, one for wind and solar and another for when the wind isn’t blowing or the sun isn’t shining.

@HouseGOP passed the GRID Power Act to restore affordable, reliable American energy. https://t.co/C2ggAurxDX“.

Later that same day, Cline criticized House Democrats’ actions regarding government funding and potential shutdowns: “Last week: House Democrats vote against a CR that would ensure our troops are paid and seniors have the vital care they need.

This week: House and Senate Democrats blame Republicans for a looming shutdown and demand billions for their radical wishlist.

Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously represented his community in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972, he currently resides in Fincastle. He holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and the University of Richmond (JD).
