Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, marked several issues of national interest on his social media account on August 4, 2025.
In a post commemorating the anniversary of a key military branch, Cline stated: “Today we celebrate the 235th birthday of the U.S. Coast Guard. For over two centuries, these brave men and women have protected our waters, safeguarded our shores, and defended our Nation as a vital force. #SemperParatus https://t.co/ivhTCkBt1N” (August 4, 2025).
Addressing concerns about public safety and immigration enforcement later that day, he wrote: “Our children deserve safe communities.
For too long, that’s been ignored in favor of protecting those here illegally.
I applaud our brave ICE agents for removing over 200 threats to public safety.
