Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several issues and events on his social media account.
On March 18, 2026, Cline expressed support for a public figure facing a health challenge. “My thoughts are with Susie Wiles after learning of her breast cancer diagnosis. Wishing her strength during treatment and a full, speedy recovery.”
Later that day, Cline participated in a tribute to a fallen military officer from his district. He wrote: “On the House Floor, I joined members of the Virginia delegation in a moment of silence to honor the life and legacy of Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah, whose life was taken far too soon and died an American hero. With roots in Virginia’s Sixth District, Lt. Colonel Shah” (March 18, 2026).
In another post dated March 18, 2026, Cline commented on ongoing concerns regarding Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). He stated: “It is outrageous that these incidents continue in FCPS. At a certain point, this is not an isolated failure. It is a pattern that is failing students and parents. Yet Spanberger is refusing to turn this individual over to ICE and will be allowed to return to school at FCPS.”
Ben Cline has served as the representative for Virginia’s 6th District since replacing Bob Goodlatte in 2019 and previously held office in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle, Cline holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
