Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing international trade, voting legislation, and law enforcement policy.

On February 10, 2026, Cline expressed support for an investigation into South Korea’s treatment of American technology companies. He stated, “No American company should face discriminatory foreign rules or punitive enforcement for competing globally. @Jim_Jordan & @RepFitzgerald’s probe into South Korea’s treatment of U.S. tech defends fairness, due process, and American innovation.”

Later that day, Cline commented on domestic voting laws with reference to the SAVE Act. In his tweet from February 10, he wrote: “Democrats opposing the SAVE Act are out-of-touch. A majority of Americans support proof of citizenship to vote. I cosponsored the bill and voted for it twice now on the House floor. Not even one illegal vote should ever cancel out the voice of a citizen.”

Cline also shared criticism directed at recent executive actions by Virginia’s governor regarding law enforcement policy. On February 10 he posted: “‘These recent actions are inconsistent with your previous support for law enforcement,’ reads the letter. ‘During your campaign for Governor of Virginia, you ran on the promise to empower law enforcement and protect Virginians from violent crime. Your recent executive actions do”

Ben Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously held office in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle, Cline holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
