Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing national holidays, law enforcement efforts, and energy policy.
On September 1, 2025, Cline posted a message recognizing Labor Day: “Wishing a Happy Labor Day to all hardworking Americans whose contributions make our Nation better every day. https://t.co/2zVzWGblby”
The following day, September 2, he commented on recent law enforcement actions under the Trump Administration: “America’s streets are safer with @FBIDirectorKash at the helm. In just 3 months, 5,700 criminals have been arrested including 220 violent offenders. The Trump Administration is correctly turning the tide after years of failed policies which emboldened criminal activity.”
On September 3, Cline addressed energy policy and criticized Democratic initiatives: “Democrats’ Green New Deal scam has driven up costs and weakened our energy security. President Trump and @HouseGOP are fighting back, repealing subsidies, cutting red tape, and expanding supply to secure lasting American energy dominance for generations. https://t.co/sOn3Kvo7AO”
Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Bob Goodlatte and previously held office in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and the University of Richmond (JD).
