Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media between January 26 and January 27, 2026, addressing topics ranging from American manufacturing to Holocaust Remembrance Day and California wildfire recovery.
On January 26, Cline commented on the return of automobile production to the United States. He stated: “America sent auto production to China for decades and American jobs followed. Buick bringing SUV production back to the United States is a big win for the American worker. The America First agenda is cutting our reliance on foreign supply chains and bringing jobs back home.”
The following day, marking Holocaust Remembrance Day, Cline shared a message commemorating victims of the Holocaust and urging vigilance against antisemitism: “On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the millions of lives lost during one of history’s darkest chapters. Today serves as a reminder that we must never forget and must stand firm against antisemitism in all its forms.” This annual observance reflects ongoing efforts by public officials to recognize historical tragedies and promote awareness.
Later that day, Cline addressed recovery efforts after wildfires in California. He wrote: “Bureaucracy is stalling California’s recovery from the disastrous Palisades fires, fueling a housing crisis. Out of 16,000 destroyed structures, only about 16% of permits have been issued to rebuild. @POTUS’ EO cuts through Democrat leaders’ red tape to restore normalcy.”
Ben Cline has served in Congress since replacing Bob Goodlatte in 2019; prior to this role he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and University of Richmond (JD).
