Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address a range of policy issues including national security, agriculture, and public health.
On March 19, 2026, Cline posted concerns about China’s impact on U.S. security and economic interests. He stated, “China poses an imminent threat to the United States and our national security. From fueling the production of illicit drugs to dominating critical mineral supply chains, the CCP continues to undermine American safety and economic strength. The following day, March 20, 2026, Cline marked National Agriculture Week by highlighting his role in agricultural advocacy. He wrote, “Happy National Agriculture Week! I’m proud to represent the top agriculture district in the Commonwealth and to serve on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture. Every day, I fight to ensure our farmers’ voices are heard and their priorities are delivered in Washington.”
Later that same day, he addressed food allergies as a public health issue. In his tweet from March 20, 2026, he said, “Food allergies affect hundreds of thousands of Americans who manage their symptoms every day. As co-chair of the bipartisan FARE Caucus, I am committed to advancing common-sense policies that raise awareness of food allergies and improve patient care. Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Bob Goodlatte as representative for Virginia’s 6th district. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 through 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline holds a BA from Bates College (1994) and a JD from the University of Richmond (2007).
