Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on September 22, 2025, addressing local celebrations, support for military personnel, and border security developments.

In his first message of the day, Cline extended holiday greetings to those observing Rosh Hashanah: “Wishing a blessed and joyous Rosh Hashanah to all celebrating in the Sixth District and around the world. May this new year be filled with peace, good health, and joy. Shana Tova!” (September 22, 2025).

Later that afternoon, he highlighted participation in an event supporting members of the armed forces. Cline stated: “.@The_USO has always supported America’s heroes by providing them with a connection to home. It was an honor to help pack care packages for our servicemembers, and a pleasure to see my friend @RepBice while doing so!” (September 22, 2025).

Cline also addressed recent trends at the U.S. border in a post made that evening: “May. June. July. August. Each month—ZERO illegal immigrants were released into the United States. For years, the previous administration claimed we needed new laws to secure the border. Turns out, when you empower Border Patrol agents, the border is more secure than EVER.” (September 22, 2025).

Ben Cline has represented Virginia’s 6th district since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018 and holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline’s background includes extensive legislative experience.
