Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th district, has shared a series of statements via social media addressing recent developments in agricultural support and workforce policies. Known for his advocacy of American workers and farmers, Cline’s posts reflect ongoing political discussions.

On July 9, 2025, Congressman Cline acknowledged the efforts of American farmers by stating “America’s farmers work night and day to feed our great Nation. They deserve every ounce of support we can give them.” He highlighted the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) announcement regarding the initial rollout of their Supplemental Disaster Relief Program aimed at providing relief for crop losses.

In another post on July 10, 2025, Cline expressed appreciation for policies that prioritize American workers. He remarked “The American workforce is the backbone of our nation.” Praising former President Trump’s initiatives, he mentioned a shift towards “commonsense policies” favoring domestic labor over foreign labor.

Later that same day, Cline commented on the cessation of taxpayer funds being used to support illegal immigrants’ post-secondary education programs. He asserted “It was unacceptable that our tax dollars were being funneled to illegal immigrants to support their post-secondary education programs.” The congressman credited this change to the Trump Administration’s focus on prioritizing American citizens.

Ben Cline has served in Congress since replacing Bob Goodlatte in 2019. Before his congressional tenure, he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972, he currently resides in Fincastle and holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
