Congressman Ben Cline, representing Virginia’s 6th district, shared his perspectives on various political issues through a series of tweets. His remarks reflect his stance on national policies and international relations.

On June 20, 2025, Congressman Cline criticized the Democratic Party’s approach to handling unrest in Los Angeles. He stated that “Democrats keep doubling down on their failed policies. The violent riots in Los Angeles show how radical the Left has become.” He further mentioned that while President Trump took action to protect the city, the state’s governor did not respond adequately.

Later that day, Cline expressed support for reforms related to Medicaid work requirements. He argued that “Requiring able-bodied adults on Medicaid to look for work or volunteer is a reasonable reform.” He suggested that such measures would ensure protection for children, elderly, and disabled Americans.

On June 22, 2025, Congressman Cline addressed concerns about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. He emphasized that “As the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism, Iran cannot be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.” Cline highlighted America’s actions under President Trump’s leadership aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear program.

Ben Cline has been serving in Congress since 2019 after replacing Bob Goodlatte. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and residing in Fincastle, he holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
