Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing legislative actions and federal spending.

On July 17, 2025, Cline announced the passage of legislation by House Republicans, stating: “.@HouseGOP just passed the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act. Later that same day, Cline highlighted specific items removed from a federal rescissions package: “Let me break down just some of the wasteful line items cut by the $9B rescissions package your tax dollars were funding:

$3M for Iraqi Sesame Street
$6M for “Net Zero Cities” in Mexico
$21M for wind farms in Ukraine
$169M for the corrupt, China-controlled WHO and”.

Ben Cline has served as the U.S. Representative for Virginia’s 6th District since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018.
