Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his activities and policy positions through a series of posts on social media.

On August 12, 2025, Cline promoted his appearance on a podcast, stating: “I recently joined @Insidepod1992 to talk about the One Big Beautiful Bill, what makes Virginia’s Sixth District the best district in the country, and how I got my start in politics. Don’t miss it, tune in https://t.co/nXNFvO4n2y”.

Later that day, he commented on sanctuary cities and law enforcement policies: “Sanctuary cities continue to put the rule of law to the curb. Why are liberal cities siding with fugitives and refusing to protect law-abiding Americans? Glad to see the @TheJusticeDept call them out. https://t.co/EpZOToQcaD”.

On August 13, 2025, Cline discussed his legislative priorities as a member of the House Appropriations Committee: “As a member of @HouseAppropsGOP, I’m fighting for FY26 bills that reflect our conservative principles, standing with our veterans, securing the border, and reining in reckless spending. We’re cutting out the waste, exposing the abuse, and putting taxpayers first. https://t.co/gwPckoocRN”.

Cline has represented Virginia’s 6th District since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte. Before joining Congress, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and the University of Richmond (JD).
