U.S. Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district, recently used his social media platform to comment on legislative efforts and White House developments. Cline, who has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously represented the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018, posted a series of messages on July 15 and July 16 addressing tax policy changes and concerns about presidential decision-making.

On July 15, Cline wrote: “No Tax on Tips = More Money in Your Pocket. Through the One Big Beautiful Bill, President Trump is delivering a $1,300 boost to America’s tipped workers. This critical tax rewrite puts more of their hard-earned wages back in their pockets where they belong.”

Later that day, he highlighted participation in a media event: “It was great to join @RepublicanStudy’s New Media Row today to highlight the major wins secured in The One Big Beautiful Bill and share how House Republicans are advocating for conservative policies in Congress that will deliver on behalf of all Americans.”

On July 16, Cline addressed questions about White House operations under President Biden: “Another top White House staffer for the Biden Admin has declined to vouch for his mental acuity or confirm whether actions taken on his behalf were authorized correctly. Americans deserve to know who made decisions and took action without the President’s direction during his”

Ben Cline was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently resides in Fincastle. He holds a BA from Bates College (1994) and earned a JD from the University of Richmond in 2007.
