Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed issues related to gun rights and government funding on his social media account.
On October 18, 2025, Cline posted: “Big win for the Second Amendment! Following our recent letter to @ATFHQ, the agency will resume processing NFA forms on Monday. I’m proud to stand up for law-abiding gun owners.”
Two days later, on October 20, 2025, he commented on a federal government shutdown: “The facts behind this Democrat-embraced shutdown are undeniable. The House passed a clean funding bill weeks ago, but Senate Democrats have repeatedly chose chaos over their country.”
That same day, Cline expressed support for concealed carry reciprocity legislation: “No American should lose their #2A rights simply by crossing a state line. I’m proud to support @RepRichHudson’s Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act to ensure this God Given right is never infringed.”
Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously spent more than fifteen years in the Virginia House of Delegates. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and resides in Fincastle. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Bates College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond.
