Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on legislative initiatives and congratulated a new federal appointee through several posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 23, 2025, Cline addressed the issue of Americans enrolled in multiple taxpayer-funded health plans. He wrote, “It was found that up to 2.8 million Americans are enrolled in multiple taxpayer-funded health plans. The One Big Beautiful Bill puts a stop to it—saving $14 billion a year and making sure vital aid goes to those who truly need it.” The post included an emphasis on fiscal responsibility and ensuring government assistance is directed appropriately.

Later that day, Cline expressed support for House Speaker Mike Johnson’s leadership, stating, “.@SpeakerJohnson is right. Our core America First principles are no longer just talk, they are being put into action.”

In a subsequent post from July 23, Cline congratulated Terry Cole on his confirmation as DEA Administrator: “Congratulations to Terry Cole on his confirmation as the next DEA Administrator! A proud Virginian and proven leader, Terry brings 21 years of DEA experience and a strong record of disrupting drug networks, targeting violent criminals, and making our communities safer. I’m”

Ben Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Bob Goodlatte and previously represented constituents in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently resides in Fincastle. Cline holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and the University of Richmond (JD).
