Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets in early February 2026 reflecting on religious unity and election integrity.
On February 5, Cline wrote about his participation at the National Prayer Breakfast: “The National Prayer Breakfast has brought lawmakers together from both parties for over 70 years in prayer. It was an honor to co-chair and pray over President Donald Trump at this year’s breakfast, asking the Lord for continued blessings on the United States and its resolve.”
The following day, he emphasized the importance of religious freedom and tradition: “Religious freedom is a cornerstone of our Constitution. As we mark America’s 250th anniversary, I was honored to carry on the tradition of the annual National Prayer Breakfast with @Rep_Jackson, uniting members across the aisle in prayer for our nation and God’s calling before” (posted February 6).
Later that same day, Cline addressed election legislation: “Voter ID is a straightforward issue for Americans. Yet the SAVE Act has been sitting on Senator Thune’s desk for OVER 300 days, even though @HouseGOP has passed the bill twice now. It’s far beyond time for the Senate to act to protect the integrity of our elections!”
Cline has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte. He previously represented constituents in Virginia’s House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972, Cline resides in Fincastle and holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
