Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on his official social media account in October 2025 addressing topics ranging from support for local farmers to international affairs.
On October 12, Cline marked National Farmer’s Day, stating, “On National Farmer’s Day, we honor the hardworking farmers of the Sixth District and across America. As the Representative for Virginia’s top agricultural district, I’ll always stand with our farmers and work in Congress to ensure they have the tools they need to thrive.”
The following day, October 13, Cline acknowledged Columbus Day, writing, “Today we recognize Columbus Day, reflecting on the brave spirit of exploration that helped shape the course of history and laid the foundation for the successful growth of our Nation.”
Later that same day, Cline commented on a reported development in the Middle East, posting, “President Trump has successfully secured the release of all 20 remaining hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists! God Bless President Trump for achieving this important step toward lasting peace in the Middle East!”
Cline has served as a member of Congress since 2019, succeeding Bob Goodlatte. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972, Cline currently resides in Fincastle. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bates College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond.
