Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on July 25, 2025, highlighting his positions on veterans’ contributions, federal spending on electric vehicle infrastructure, and recent legislative actions.
In a post published at 14:02 UTC, Cline recognized the value that veterans bring to their communities and his staff: “Our veterans gained valuable, transferable skills through their service to our great Nation, skills that continue to serve them and their communities. I’m proud to have several of these American heroes on my staff. Today and every day, we honor their contributions to VA-06.”
Later that day at 18:26 UTC, Cline criticized federal expenditures related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure: “$7.5 billion spent. Fewer than 400 EV chargers were built. That’s nearly $19 MILLION per charger. This is what happens when Washington throws money at radical projects with zero accountability. I support fully repealing wasteful green energy handouts.”
At 21:05 UTC on the same day, Cline commented on attending the signing of new legislation by President Biden: “I appreciated the invitation to join @POTUS yesterday as he signed the $9 billion Rescission Relief Act into law. For too long, the tax dollars of hard-working Americans have been wasted on woke foreign aid projects abroad and woke publicly-funded broadcasting at home. That ends”
Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously held office in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently resides in Fincastle. Cline holds a BA from Bates College (1994) and a JD from the University of Richmond (2007).
