City of Harrisonburg issued the following announcement on Jan. 1

The best way to keep your family and friends safe is to get vaccinated.

Avoid crowded, poorly ventilated spaces.

If you are sick or have symptoms, don’t host or attend gatherings.

Wear a mask in public indoor settings.

Test to prevent spread to others.

Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.
