Christopher Newport Captains, featuring former Spotswood High School player Tyler Sprague, secured a 90-61 victory over the Washington & Jefferson Presidents on Saturday, March 7, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The contest, held at Freeman Center at 5:45 p.m., marked the teams’ first meeting in tournament play.

Christopher Newport’s next game is scheduled for Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in Crenshaw Gymnasium.
