City of Harrisonburg issued the following announcement on Dec. 14

City of Harrisonburg offices will be closed next Thursday, December 23, 2021 – Friday, December 24, 2021 in observance of Christmas.

Some notices for planning ahead:

Trash for Thursday, December 23 will be collected on Wednesday, December 22. 

Trash for Friday, December 24 will be collected on Monday, December 27.

Bulk/Yard Debris for Wednesday, December 22 should be held until the next collection date of January 12, 2022, or residents can take these materials to the Recycling Convenience Center during operating hours.

The Recycling Convenience Center and Mobile Unit will be closed Thursday, December 23, 2021, Friday, December 24, 2021, and Saturday, December 25, 2021.

There will be no bus service on Christmas Day.

City offices will reopen Monday, December 27, 2021 at 8:00am.
