Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from immigration policy to First Amendment rights and law enforcement victories.
On September 9, 2025, Cline commented on proposed immigration legislation, stating: “This commonsense bill ends the revolving door of illegal immigration and restores accountability. For too long, innocent Americans have paid the price while repeat offenders walked free in our communities. @HouseGOP is correcting the course.”
Later that day, he addressed concerns about religious freedom in schools by writing: “The First Amendment protects freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Our children should never be punished for exercising their faith in schools.” (September 9, 2025).
On September 10, 2025, Cline highlighted a recent law enforcement operation against organized crime: “Authorities just took down 600+ members of a violent cartel. Thanks to Administrator Cole, 700,000 illicit pills, 2,000+ kg of meth, and 7,500 kg of deadly drugs are off our streets. This is a decisive victory for American families and the rule of law.”
Cline has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Bob Goodlatte and previously spent over fifteen years in the Virginia House of Delegates. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently resides in Fincastle. Cline holds degrees from Bates College and the University of Richmond.
