U.S. Congressman Ben Cline, who represents Virginia’s 6th district, recently used his social media platform to address several national policy issues, including intelligence community reforms, border security under the Biden-Harris administration, and parental choice in education.

On August 21, 2025, Cline commented on efforts to reform the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), stating: “In recent years, Americans witnessed the intelligence community become bloated and in some cases politically.

With ODNI 2.0, @DNIGabbard is reducing the size of @ODNIgov, restoring accountability, and keeping our agencies focused on serving the best interests of the American”.

Later that day, Cline addressed claims regarding border security during the current administration. On August 21 he posted: “Radical Democrats claimed our southern border was ‘completely secure’ under the Biden-Harris Administration.

The numbers tell a very different story. They reveal the truth: record chaos and crisis.”

On August 22, Cline turned his attention to education policy and school choice initiatives. He wrote: “I’ve long been an advocate for parental choice in education.

Parents, not bureaucrats, deserve to decide what’s best for their children. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, school choice is being expanded to make that school choice easier.”

Ben Cline has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after replacing Bob Goodlatte and previously represented constituents in Virginia’s House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1972 and currently residing in Fincastle at age 51, Cline holds degrees from Bates College (BA) and a JD from the University of Richmond.
