Julian Rivera, a graduate of Highland High School and now a member of the Gannon Golden Knights, will play in the upcoming Division II NCAA Basketball Tournament.
The team enters the competition as the No. 1 seed and will take on the eighth-seeded Charleston Golden Eagles in the first round.
The opener is set for Saturday, March 14 at 5 p.m. at Highmark Events Center.
James Madison University has signed transfer Kaua Cressoni for its men’s tennis team for the upcoming season. Head Coach Steve Secord highlighted Cressoni’s championship experience at Gardner-Webb University and his accomplishments both in singles and doubles play.

VMI Baseball ended its six-game losing streak with a shutout win over Longwood on April 28. Owen Prince set new records for stolen bases and consecutive games reaching base safely as pitching led the Keydets’ victory.
