James Madison University’s lacrosse team remained at No. 25 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division I Coaches’ Poll, according to an April 27 announcement.

The ranking comes after James Madison defeated Old Dominion with a score of 14-9, marking their fifth conference win and extending their winning streak to five games to close out the regular season.

James Madison is currently the only team from the American Conference ranked in the top 25 this season. The team leads its league in total points, assists per game, ground balls per game, and caused turnovers per game.

Looking ahead, James Madison will play against third-seeded East Carolina in the semifinals of the 2026 American Women’s Lacrosse Championship. The match is scheduled for Thursday, April 30 at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville with a start time of 8:15 p.m., and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The team’s consistent performance has kept them among the top programs nationally as they enter postseason play.
