Tuition and fees for in-state students at James Madison University amounted to $14,250 in 2024, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

This places the university as the ninth most expensive public institution in Virginia for that year.

The in-state tuition and fees increased by $674 compared to the previous year.

Out-of-state students at James Madison University paid $31,604 in 2024, marking an $814 increase from the prior year.

In the 2023-24 school year, graduate and undergraduate students received more than $256 billion in financial aid.
