JMU and ETSU baseball game suspended due to fog, will resume Saturday

James Madison University’s baseball game against East Tennessee State University (ETSU) at Veterans Memorial Park was suspended on Friday afternoon due to concerns about player safety caused by dense fog in the area. The decision to halt the game came during the bottom of the fourth inning, with no outs and runners on second and third base for James Madison. At the time of suspension, ETSU held a 1-0 lead after scoring on an infield grounder in the top of the fourth inning.

The teams will resume play at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.

“James Madison baseball’s series opener against ETSU at Veterans Memorial Park on Friday afternoon was suspended due to player safety concerns with the density of fog in the area and will resume at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.”
