Town of Timberville issued the following announcement on Feb. 9

The Town of Timberville is accepting applications for a full-time employee for the public works department.   This position will be made possible from funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and will have a maximum term of 2 years.  Depending on project and material availability the term of this position may be shorter.  There is no guarantee or suggestion that this position will continue after the initial term ends.

The ideal candidate for this position will have significant knowledge of all aspects of water and sewer infrastructure including:  water and sewer line installation, replacement and repair; water meter installation and replacement; operation of excavation equipment; and VDH required testing for new/replacement lines.  The individual selected to fill this position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor but should be able to work independently with very little or no supervision.
