Mark Obenshain, a Republican elected to the Virginia State Senate in 2024 to represent the state’s 2nd Senate district, shared updates on early voting and local economic developments through his Twitter account this week.

On April 13, Obenshain reminded constituents about early voting deadlines, writing: “This is the last week to early vote! If you have not voted yet you can do so M-F AND this Saturday, April 18 at your local voter registrar’s office. VOTE NO to stop the illegal gerrymandering! https://t.co/xpVQMCs7QU”.

The following day, he highlighted an investment in Virginia’s agricultural sector: “Our #1 industry in Virginia just got bigger and better. Congratulations to the Virginia Poultry Growers Cooperative on their announcement today of a huge $113M investment to expand their operations in Rockingham. https://t.co/MY9sXDMN7L”. On April 14, he also welcomed a new business to Harrisonburg: “Welcome to Harrisonburg AeroNimble. This engine maintenance start-up is making a $2.5M investment here combined with 50 new jobs AND a partnership with BRCC for a technician pipeline. https://t.co/rqtQ1WhU4r”.

Obenshain assumed office after being elected in 2024, succeeding Mamie Locke as senator for Virginia’s 2nd district.
