Mark Obenshain, a Virginia state senator, recently shared updates on local events and community engagement through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On October 7, 2025, Obenshain marked a milestone for a prominent agricultural organization by posting, “Great time celebrating the Augusta County Farm Bureau’s 75 years of service. Thank you for your service and advocacy for the Ag community!” This message highlighted the organization’s long-standing support for agriculture in the region.
In a post dated October 8, 2025, Obenshain discussed the positive response to an upcoming event: “The response to Oysters has been great & it is indicative of the enthusiasm for our ticket as we hit the final stretch of the campaign. We are truly down to the last few tix before we are sold out. I don’t want anyone to miss out, so let us know right away if you want to attend.” The post referenced “Oysters with Obenshain,” an event scheduled for October 14, and noted strong interest from supporters as the campaign approached its final weeks.
The following day, on October 9, 2025, Obenshain announced that the event had reached capacity: “Thank you for your response and excitement for Oysters with Obenshain on October 14. We are officially Sold Out!”
Mark Obenshain has represented Virginia’s 26th district in the state senate since 2004. The Augusta County Farm Bureau, mentioned in his post, is a longstanding organization supporting local farmers and advocating for agricultural issues in Virginia.
