Tyler Nickel, a former East Rockingham High School star now playing for the Vanderbilt Commodores, is set to compete in the NCAA Tournament.
Vanderbilt enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed and will take on the 12th seeded McNeese State Cowboys.
Their opening matchup will be held Thursday, March 19, at 2:15 p.m. at Paycom Center.

James Madison senior Václav Tichý has been named to the Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference following an impressive season. Tichý led his team with strong performances and set several program records during his time at JMU.
James Madison University men’s basketball has signed veteran guard Cavan Reilly from Delaware for next season. Head Coach Preston Spradlin praised Reilly’s scoring ability and experience.
