Planning Commission votes to advance the Climate Action Plan

Last night, on Dec. 13, 2022, at a joint meeting of the Charlottesville Planning Commission and City Council, the Planning Commission voted to recommend the Charlottesville Climate Action Plan as an amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan.This is an important step as the Climate Action Plan goes next to City Council to be voted on for adoption. The specific Council meeting date is soon to be confirmed.Additionally, last night’s meeting had a public hearing and discussion on the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget, which included discussion of several items noted in the Climate Action Plan.To view the meeting recording, go to:https://boxcast.tv/channel/iweiogrihxlnnvn2sxqx
