TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, June 13th, 2022, at the regular meeting of City Council at 7:00 p.m., to be held in the Council Chambers, Charles T. Yancey Municipal Building, at 503 West Main Street, Waynesboro, Virginia, the City Council intends to consider ordinances amending the Fiscal Year 2022 budget and appropriation of funds noted below. The following ordinances will receive consideration for adoption or introduction:
Ordinance 1 – Appropriate $512,934 to the School Funds for various grants received during the year (adoption)
Ordinance 2 – Appropriate $22,712 of insurance proceeds, grants, sponsorships, to the General Fund for the Parks and Recreation Department (adoption)
Ordinance 3 – Appropriate $4,486 of insurance proceeds, sale of scrap, and recovered costs to the General, Water, and Stormwater fund for the Public Works Department (adoption)
Ordinance 4 – Appropriate $2,099 of recovered costs to the Office on Youth Fund (adoption)
Ordinance 5 – Appropriate $1,783 from the sale of surplus property, extraditions, and recovered costs for the Police Department to the General Fund (adoption)
Ordinance 6 – Appropriate $3,126,812 of fund balance to the General Fund to be transferred to the Capital Improvement Fund for the fiscal year 2023 Capital Investment Program (Introduction)
Ordinance 7 – Appropriate $272,000 to the bond fund for the 2022 bond refinancing (adoption)
Ordinance 8 – Appropriate $253,000 of fund balance to the Debt Fund for bond payments (Introduction)
Ordinance 9 – Appropriate $18,000 of fund balance to the School Funds (introduction)
Ordinance 10 – Appropriate $9,452 of the restricted fund balance to the General Fund (Introduction)
All hearings shall be open to the public. The City Council shall permit persons desiring to be heard an opportunity to present oral testimony within such reasonable time limits as shall be determined by the Mayor.
