Cost of college went up for all students at Staunton School of Cosmetology

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2018-19 at Staunton School of Cosmetology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $15,750 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $570 more than the $15,180 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 77 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 18 students received grants or scholarships totaling $69,146 and 19 students took out student loans totaling more than $115,083.

Including all undergraduates (28), 24 students used grants or scholarships totaling $87,874, and 24 students took out $140,267 in federal student loans.
