City of Staunton issued the following announcement on May. 22.
Beginning Monday, May 24, North Central Avenue traffic will be temporarily directed to the east side of North Central Avenue as the construction work moves from the east side to the west side of the street. The portion of North Central Avenue between Pump Street and West Frederick Street will continue to be reduced to one lane, with the one way traffic still limited to southbound only.
Construction traffic signs will placed accordingly, and access to all properties will be maintained at all times; however, Hardee’s customers are encouraged to utilize the entrance on North Augusta Street to reduce congestion on North Central Avenue during construction.
This traffic pattern will continue until further notice, and this closure is in effect 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
