Town of Dayton issued the following announcement on May. 27.
The Town of Dayton will be instituting a once yearly Real Estate Tax billing beginning this calendar year, 2021. Real Estate Taxes will be billed in late fall with a due date, each year, of December 5th. For homeowners with escrow accounts, information will be sent to the appropriate mortgage companies currently on file with the Treasurer’s office. Please contact the Treasurer’s office at 540-879-2241 if you have any questions. This means you will not receive a bill for the normal June tax payment. This is necessary as we rely on the County to provide our tax records and billing and they can no longer accommodate twice yearly billing for the Town.
