Town of Elkton issued the following announcement on May. 27.
The Town of Elkton will be conducting fire hydrant during the overnight hours on Friday and Saturday (June4 and 5, 2021) from 8:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Periodic fire hydrant flushing is necessary to ensure proper functioning of fire hydrants and to purge the water distribution system of sediment. Water customers may experience some decrease in water pressure, as well as possible degradation of water clarity during or shortly after this maintenance program.
