City of Staunton issued the following announcement on Jun. 1.
Due to a known, upcoming staffing shortage, recycling will not be picked up the week of May 31 through June 4.
The City of Staunton is committed to resuming curbside collection of recycling beginning the week of June 7 and until the opening of the Recycling Center at Gypsy Hill, slated for July 1. However, the unstable personnel issues are a consistent and difficult challenge for the crew. The City remains grateful to the refuse and recycling team for their dedication and asks for the community's understanding as we navigate these obstacles and changes.
Additional information about the Recycling Center at Gypsy Hill will be released beginning June 1.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
