Steps:
- Be a resident of Virginia
- Be a resident of the Town of Dayton
- Be registered to vote in the Town of Dayton
- Complete all forms for candidacy
- File forms by August 4, 2021 by 5 p.m. with the Rockingham County Registrar’s Office
On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, there will be a Special Election for one Town Council seat with a term expiring on December 31, 2022. This will be a special election to fill a seat left vacant by a resignation. Candidates run without party affiliation and there is no primary.
Residents interested in running for Town Council must file all paperwork with the Rockingham County by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
