Report Your Access to Broadband

20

Augusta County issued the following announcement on Sept. 28

Augusta County recently applied for a state grant to achieve universal fiber-to-the-home broadband to unserved locations in the County.

Because state grants are only available in areas that are “unserved” by broadband, as part of the planning effort, a list of unserved locations was submitted to the state agency that determines whether broadband service is available.

Several providers - including Comcast, HighSpeedLink, MGW Telephone/Lingo, New Hope Telephone Cooperative, and Shentel - have challenged the submitted data for unserved locations in the County. They believe certain locations within the proposed grant funding area are currently served.

We need your help to make sure that your home or business in the County that is unserved by broadband is included in the project area for the grant.  Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at the link below to verify whether or not your location has broadband access.
