The first community meeting for Augusta County's redistricting process will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Churchville Elementary School from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Information on the redistricting process and drafts of proposed maps will be presented at each of the community meetings. You can watch a video of the presentation on the redistricting website. View the drafts of the maps and provide your feedback on our interactive GIS website.

Additional community input meetings are scheduled as follows:

  • Monday, November 8: Augusta County Government Center, 10:30 am - 12pm
  • Monday, November 8: Riverheads Elementary School, 6:30 pm - 8 pm
  • Wednesday, November 10: Augusta County Government Center, 6 pm - 7 pm
  • Public hearing on Monday, November 22: Augusta County Government Center, 7 pm during the Board of Supervisors regular meeting
Because Augusta County’s redistricting timeline relies on the completion of the state redistricting commission’s process, the timeline may be updated as needed.

Every ten years, after U.S. Census data is released, Augusta County must review and analyze the new census data to ensure magisterial districts are balanced in population and are contiguous and compact. The county's Redistricting Committee is responsible for redistricting and must follow federal and state constitutional requirements for the process.
