City of Waynesboro issued the following announcement on Nov. 22
In preparation for the Waynesboro Marketplace development (previously Ladd Elementary School), significant road construction is scheduled in the adjacent Rosser Avenue corridor in the area between Lew Dewitt and Tiffany Drive intersections. That work is expected to begin around 11/29 and extend through early 2022. There are no planned lane closures until after the New Year and holiday shopping traffic should not be affected.
The former Ladd School site is soon to become the home of Sheetz, Chipotle, Popeye’s, Take 5, and Aspen Dental. To ensure smooth traffic flow in and out of the site, improve pedestrian access, and ensure safety, improvements must be made to Rosser Avenue and Lucy Lane in front of the property.
Motorists should be alert for signage associated with these construction activities as well as frequent changes in traffic patterns, and alternate routes might be considered if possible.
