Town of Bridgewater issued the following announcement on Feb. 22
Update: At its meeting on February 23rd, the County Board of Supervisors voted to deny the special use permit.
Town residents received a letter from Dynamic Energy regarding a proposed solar facility. It should be noted that the facility is located just outside town limits and therefore the proposal is being considered by the County, not the Town. There is a public information session, hosted by the project developer on Tuesday, February 22, 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Wilbur Pence Middle School. The County Board of Supervisors (BOS) will have a public hearing regarding the application for a Special Use Permit (SUP) on Wednesday, February 23, 7 PM. More information regarding the proposal can be found beginning on page 45 of the BOS agenda packet at: https://www.rockinghamcountyva.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_02232022-653.
The project is located just south of the Dayton Market/Town & Country/Patchwork Plus area off of John Wayland Highway. It is considered a future residential or commercial growth area in the Town/County plan.
