Rockingham Cooperative Ace Hardware to give away American flags

Rockingham Cooperative Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Virginia lost 750 soldiers in the Korean war and 864 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 241 Lee Hwy, Verona will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Verona Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Rockingham Cooperative Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Rockingham Cooperative Ace Hardware is located at 241 Lee Hwy, Verona, Virginia. This location is owned by Norman Wenger and represented by Matt Ashburn.
