As a comprehensive heart center with an emphasis on diagnosis and prevention, we are here to provide nationally accredited care right here at home in Augusta County and the surrounding communities. Our Heart and Vascular Center has advanced diagnostic capabilities with echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging. We have catheterization laboratories as well as electrophysiology laboratories where pacemakers and defibrillators can be placed, as well as treating atrial fibrillation with cardiac ablation. This may all sound very confusing, but what’s important to know is that you will receive cardiac care within minutes, not miles, at a nationally recognized HeartCARE Center.

Using the abilities of the providers and the advanced technologies here at Augusta Health, we are committed to advancing the cardiovascular health of the community. Prevention is a key pillar of our patient care with a focus on diet, nutrition, and risk factor modification. When additional care is needed, our specialized cardiology providers offer expertise in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, and electrophysiology. Whether you are here for outpatient diagnostics, interventional procedures, or rehabilitation, our entire cardiology team is committed to providing world-class care close to home in a kind and compassionate manner.

Combining the ability of our team and our technology, our cardiovascular (CV) program has been, and continues to be, recognized locally and nationally for the quality of care provided to our patient population with heart disease. In addition to our other accreditations, our CV program was recently recognized by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) in January of 2023 as the FIRST HeartCARE Center of Distinction in Virginia, and only the 55th hospital nationally to be awarded this prestigious honor.

Becoming an ACC HeartCARE Center validates the significant steps we have taken to deliver exceptional care with repeatable success. If you would like more information on Augusta Health Cardiovascular Services, please visit augustahealth.com/service/heart-vascular.
