37 4th-grade students enrolled in Bath County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 37 4th-grade students enrolled in Bath County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 11.9% fewer than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 4th-grade students in the county was Valley Elementary School.

Within Bath County schools, the largest number of students were found in 7th-grade, while 1st-grade had the least students.

Statewide, Bath County ranked 130th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 130th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
