The Highland County Maple Festival has been announced as the Best Unique Festival in Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine’s 2023 Best of the Blue Ridge.
Beginning in October of 2022, readers of Blue Ridge Outdoors nominated their favorite outdoor businesses, events, food/drinks, and destinations in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and then voted for the best-of-the-best. This year, they received over 200,000 total votes in their 50 Best of the Blue Ridge categories.
The Highland County Maple Festival was previously awarded as a runner up in the Unique Festival category in 2022.
“We are once again humbled to receive a reader-nominated distinction for the Highland County Maple Festival, especially in the most well-known outdoor awards in the Southeast,” says Highland County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Chris Swecker. “After our long-awaited return of the festival in 2022, this helps validate all the hours and hours of effort that the entire community puts in to making our special county-wide event happen every year. We can’t thank our loyal visitors enough for their continued support and sharing the love of Virginia’s pure maple syrup!”
