Former East Rockingham High School basketball standout Tyler Nickel played for the Vanderbilt Commodores, who defeated the McNeese State Cowboys 78-68 in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 19.

The matchup took place at Paycom Center at 2:15 p.m.

Nickel recorded 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists over 32 minutes of play.

Vanderbilt’s next contest is scheduled for Saturday, March 21 at 7:45 p.m. at Paycom Center.
