There were seven American Indian students enrolled in Rockbridge County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 22.2% less than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Rockbridge County Public Schools District welcomed 2,496 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the school.

Rockbridge County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Rockbridge County and has a main office in Lexington.

Among the six schools in Rockbridge County Public Schools District, Rockbridge County High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
